Errare tra case sepolte: la poesia di Pietro Romano

“Non valica parola la presenza-scure dell’erranza. Sguarnita voce: luce emanata da occhi che non sono”.

Voce e luce, luce e voce, un viaggio attraverso non luoghi – le case sepolte –  per parlare di un “impossibile incontro con se stesso” (come lo definisce Franca Alaimo nella post-fazione). Ce lo propone l’ultimo libro di prose poetiche del poeta palermitano Pietro Romano, pubblicato nell’ottobre 2020 dai Quaderni del Bardo. E’ un errare nella polisemia delle possibilità che questo termine – errare, appunto –  offre; così la parola trova la sua condizione di vita, perché “la parola si invera nell’erranza”.  Un viaggio che è condotto da uno sguardo che “setaccia le vertebre di un corpo rinsecchito su mani senza resurrezione”, espresso da una lingua che “vortica in suoni senza crescita”, perché “oggi l’idioma è la non adesione”.

Il soggetto che guarda, conosce o cerca di conoscere, che prova ad esprimere, si frantuma in un “io distorto esploso”, diventa – immagine bellissima – “sciame”, si coagula nelle proprie percezioni; la parola non incide, perde precisione, l’etimo è deviato dalla radice e la sfida diventa  “misurare l’adombrato che fugge l’etimo”.

Nel vagare tra relitti, ombre, case sepolte di cui non c’è parvenza, vetri graffiati “sciolti in urla”,  nel muoverci attraverso le crepe, le fratture di un paesaggio non più (forse mai?) integro, tutti noi “cerchiamo varchi verso voci perdute”.

La preghiera del poeta è un sussurro: “Invisibile, lasciaci entrare”.

Lontane, mani lontane. Gli sguardi battono contro i vetri notturni, zona di transito tra nome e nome.

 

Sentire il peso dei corpi: d’essere polvere, gelido silenzio. Giorni di scomparsa-nudi sulla mancanza. Cifre, lettere o distanze. Parole, altre. Gioia e abbandono, nel profondo di una luce che ogni cosa cancella. Delle cose lo sguardo si richiude, ma dove? Poco di loro, rimane. Il dramma dell’altezza: sconoscere la palpebra. C’è un che di inutile nel tardare la parola: la terra è la terra e la traccia precede se stessa.

 

Il corpo si è destato nel coro di fratture: canta ora il dolore, da lontano risponde il lontano.

 

La poesia, chiedi. Solo mani per acqua e potatura posso darti. In cambio chiedo colori, profumi, essenze del tempo che si ripete senza consistenza, delle sue ossa deposte all’ombra di un battito senza pompaggio. E’il vento, forse, floricoltore di voci e assenze? Sono foglie in esilio su selciati di scontentezza. Occhi negli alberi, nei cieli: tu ti moltiplichi, vento. In questo assedio che cosa chiedi? La parola trema. Nelle sue crepe altri scompigli: voci dove trovo riparo.

 

Ventre chiuso di terra: la polvere e i resti compongono i volti che ci si affanna a cecare nel graffio degli specchi.

 

Secca il corpo per troppa mancanza, residuo di un passato dissepolto. Vado via in forma di sciame. Come abitare la dimenticanza?
